On Saturday, it was close, but the Southern Maryland Christian Academy Mustangs sidestepped St. Charles for a 54-51 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southern Maryland Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ja?Zyere Thompson, who went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron McGlone, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why St. Charles lost, don't look at Aiden Woodberry. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave Woodberry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryce Selby, who had nine points.

Southern Maryland Christian Academy's record now sits at 10-3. As for St. Charles, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
