Volleyball Recap: Hudson Explorers vs. Jackson Polar Bears
Hudson and Jackson squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Hudson had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 3-2. The Explorers have struggled against the Polar Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Owen Stearns paced Hudson's offense, picking up 20 kills. Stearns got some help from Jackson Battaglia and his 37 assists.
Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Jackson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
Hudson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jackson, they will face off against St. Ignatius at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Polar Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
