Basketball Game Preview: Lafayette Rams vs. York Falcons

Lafayette is 10-0 against York since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lafayette Rams will look to defend their home court against the York Falcons at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Lafayette's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while York has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Lafayette is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Jamestown to the tune of 61-24 on Thursday. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Lafayette got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sarah Lynch out in front who posted 20 points and six rebounds. Those 20 points gave Lynch a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of MaKayla Keys, who put up eight points along with nine assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, York had to suffer through a 53-20 loss at the hands of Poquoson.

Lafayette has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for York, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything came up roses for Lafayette against York in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-18 win. Will Lafayette repeat their success, or does York have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
