Softball Recap: Radford Bobcats vs. George Wythe Maroons
Radford extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-6 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the George Wythe Maroons. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Maroons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

On the hitting side, Aniyah Burks was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Morgan Layne was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Coming up, Radford will square off against Floyd County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buffaloes' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for George Wythe, they will challenge Galax at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Maroons' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Maroon Tide have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
