Basketball Recap: Chillicothe Takes a Loss

Chillicothe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Munday Moguls, falling 80-16. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-6.

Leading Munday to victory were Connor Willison and Mance Phillips. Willison went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points and six boards, while Phillips went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. That's the most rebounds Willison has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jariyis Williams, who went 5 for 11 to rack up 12 points and three steals.

Chillicothe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Munday, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-5.

Looking ahead, Chillicothe will square off against Knox City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Munday, they will take on Benjamin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Benjamin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
