Softball Recap: Charles Henderson Triumphs

Charles Henderson won the last time they faced LAMP and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Trojans walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Golden Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Keirstin Gamble was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Calleigh Compton, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Charles Henderson's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for LAMP, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Charles Henderson will head out on the road to take on Kinston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for LAMP, they will face off against Montgomery Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.35 runs per game on average), something the Golden Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
