Fox Chapel has no trouble against Armstrong

Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 13 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Fox Chapel Foxes proved on Friday. They blew past Armstrong 61-37. With that win, Fox Chapel brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Jefferson Moorefield-Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Betancourt Jones, who scored eight points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, Armstrong still got an impressive performance from Jacob Szep, who scored 11 points.

The victory makes it two in a row for Fox Chapel and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Armstrong, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fox Chapel will challenge Woodland Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fox Chapel is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. As for Armstrong, they will head out on the road to face off against Shaler Area at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shaler Area is coming into the match with nine straight victories at home, so Armstrong is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
