It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but West Potomac ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Robinson Rams 7-6. That's more bragging rights for West Potomac, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Liam Cardman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Liam Conmy was excellent, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with a stolen base and an RBI. Alex Harris was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
