Recap: Glens Falls Indians vs. Amsterdam Rams

Even though the Glens Falls Indians have not done well against the Amsterdam Rams recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Glens Falls managed a 51-45 win over Amsterdam. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Glens Falls.

Glens Falls' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Frances McTiernan, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Carolyn Lunt, who scored 11 points.

Glens Falls' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Amsterdam, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glens Falls will face off against Scotia-Glenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amsterdam, they will head out on the road to face off against Banneker Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Banneker Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
