Volleyball Recap: Haylee Kellogg Key Part of Team Effort in Indians Win

Southern hadn't done well against Wellsville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Indians put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-15.

Southern's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haylee Kellogg, who had eight digs and two aces. Kellogg is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Southern now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Wellsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern will welcome Toronto at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wellsville, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lowellville at 6:00 p.m. The Tigers are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
