Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Roughriders vs. West Liberty-Salem Tigers

After flying high against Northeastern last Thursday, West Jefferson came back down to earth. The Roughriders came up short against the West Liberty-Salem Tigers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Roughriders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Julia Beatty paced West Jefferson's offense, picking up eight kills. Beatty got some help from Mary Ava Wills and her ten assists. Khloee Lemon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

West Liberty-Salem's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reagan Winters led the charge by getting nine digs and two assists.

West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for West Liberty-Salem, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
