Basketball Game Preview: Laporte Wildcats vs. Red Lake Warriors

Laporte hasn't had much luck against Red Lake recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Laporte Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Red Lake Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Laporte will be strutting in after a win while Red Lake will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Laporte turned things around against Mishawaka on Saturday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 59-58 victory over the Cavemen.

Meanwhile, Red Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-35 loss at the hands of Nevis. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Laporte will need focus on slowing down Arius Curry, one of several Red Lake players who made an impact when they last played. He posted five points. The dominant performance gave Curry a new career-high in points.

Red Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Laporte, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.
