Recap: Hartford Central Tanagers vs. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights
The Hartford Central Tanagers had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 47-37 to Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons. Hartford Central lost against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons in their previous head to head back in March, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 58-48 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Hartford Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alawnah Dunda. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Tyler, who scored 6 points.
Hartford Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Hartford Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Schroon Lake at 6:45 p.m. on December 6th. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, they will head out on the road to face off against Schoharie at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
