Basketball Game Preview: Provo Bulldogs vs. Wasatch Wasps

The Provo Bulldogs will square off against the Wasatch Wasps at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Provo strolled past Maple Mountain with points to spare, taking the game 56-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Provo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makai Allen, who posted 17 points and six assists. The contest was Allen's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gehrig Orchard, who had 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Wasatch was able to grind out a solid victory over West on Wednesday, taking the game 55-47.

Provo now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wasatch, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Provo came up short against Wasatch in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 77-71. Thankfully for Provo, Sam Lind (who went 7 of 9 on his way to 21 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
