Stone Mountain extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They took a 28-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salem Seminoles. On the bright side, the 15- point performance marked the Pirates' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Salem, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points over those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Salem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kadine McAlister, who picked up 170 receiving yards and one TD. McAlister showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 56 yards. Ian Morris was in the mix as well, providing Salem with two scores.

Stone Mountain has already played their next contest, a 47-0 loss against Mt. Zion on the 2nd. As for Salem, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 50-20 defeat against Heritage on the 30th.
