Basketball Recap: Seymour's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Seymour had won three straight games and Viktoria Michalczyk did her part to make it four on Wednesday. The Seymour Wildcats managed a 49-44 victory over the Woodland Regional Hawks thanks in part to Michalczyk, who went 8 for 18 en route to 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Isabella Melissano, who posted ten points and three steals. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Seymour is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Woodland Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ansonia the next time they take the court. Seymour will head out to face Ansonia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Woodland Regional will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
