Butte County and Grace are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2023, but not for long. The Butte County Pirates will host the Grace Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Butte County took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They strolled past Liberty Charter with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Patriots are ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Grace posted their biggest win since February 19, 2024 on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 60-27 victory over Oakley. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Butte County is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points over those games. As for Grace, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Butte County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Grace in their previous matchup last Thursday, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory. Will Butte County repeat their success, or does Grace have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
