Soccer Game Preview: Fruita Monument vs. Palisade

The Fruita Monument Wildcats will face off against the Palisade Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Friday, Fruita Monument didn't have quite enough to beat Durango and fell 2-1. Fruita Monument haven't had much luck with Durango recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fruita Monument's goal came courtesy of Ella Hovland, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Palisade fell victim to Durango and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Demons by a score of 1-0.

Palisade's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-2. As for Fruita Monument, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-3 and their overall record down to 6-3-3.

Fruita Monument took their victory against Palisade in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
