Football Recap: South Kingstown Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with North Kingstown + How To Watch

South Kingstown faced North Kingstown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rebels were outmatched by the Skippers and fell 42-12. The Rebels have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Cole Rosen threw for 103 yards and one TD. Y Zell Kirby was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Jack Sullivan rushed for 37 yards.

Jack Diano was his usual excellent self, throwing for 274 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 63 yards on only six carries for North Kingstown. That's the most passing touchdowns Diano has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cooper Berthelot, who picked up 112 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

South Kingstown's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for North Kingstown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

As of now, neither South Kingstown nor the Skippers have any future games scheduled.
