Basketball Recap: Sunset Takes a Loss

Sunset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Mountainside Mavericks and fell 67-31. While losing is never fun, the Apollos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Mavericks are ranked 29th).

Sunset's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Mountainside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Sunset has already played their next game (against McNary), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Mountainside, they are taking a road trip to square off against South Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
