Basketball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar was the 63-43 winner over Aurora when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Lamar Tigers received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 88-74 to the Aurora Houn Dawgs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Sunday (57), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Lamar and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Aurora, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will take on McDonald County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Aurora has already played their next game (against Seneca), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
