Wes Stanton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Myrtle got a massive performance out of Cade Brown, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hunter Davis, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3.
Myrtle pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games.
