Softball Game Preview: Indiana Little Indians vs. Valley Vikings

The Indiana Little Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Valley Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.

On Friday, Indiana came up short against Derry and fell 9-5.

Rylin Blystone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Stossel, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Valley's offense. They came up short against Knoch on Friday, falling 15-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Indiana, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything went Indiana's way against Valley in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, as Indiana made off with a 16-5 win. Do the Little Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
