It was a good run, but Merrill unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Marshfield Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Merrill's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Marshfield, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Merrill will be playing in front of their home fans against Mosinee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bluejays surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marshfield, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-7 defeat against Eau Claire North on the 3rd.
