Volleyball Recap: Josseline Llamas and Diana Khalvati Secure Win for Encina

Encina not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Adventure Christian Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-2, 25-8.

Encina was led to victory by Diana Khalvati and Josseline Llamas. Khalvati had seven kills and four assists, while Llamas hit 60% for six kills and 14 aces and one block. Those six kills gave Llamas a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Encina was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 26 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive matches.

Encina's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Adventure Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Encina will welcome Forest Lake Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adventure Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Juan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
