Volleyball Game Preview: Triton Trojans vs. South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers

Triton has gone a perfect 4-0 against South Bend Career Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Trojans will welcome the Trailblazers at 7:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Triton managed to slip by Pioneer the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Panthers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered since September 9th.

Triton was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pioneer work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Meanwhile, South Bend Career Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Fort Wayne Canterbury.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-16, 25-12.

South Bend Career Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

Triton took their victory against South Bend Career Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Trailblazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
