Baseball Recap: Shasta Has No Trouble Against Foothill

Shasta owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Foothill Cougars. Considering the Wolves have won four games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Kidd looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Owen Boesiger was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ty Jones, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Shasta has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Foothill, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shasta beat the Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Friday.
