Baseball Recap: McCutcheon Comes Up Short

McCutcheon fell victim to Carmel and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mavericks have suffered since April 23rd.

This is the second loss in a row for McCutcheon and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Carmel, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, McCutcheon will welcome Western Boone at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Carmel, they will head out to face off against Crown Point at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Greyhounds surely won't give up without a fight.
