Basketball Recap: Leigh Comes Up Short

The Leigh Longhorns took a blow against the St. Francis Golden Knights on Friday, falling 74-44.

Leigh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Francis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Leigh won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Branham at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Longhorns will be up against the Bruins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Francis, they and Liberty will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
