Baseball Game Preview: Grandview Greyhounds vs. Prosser Mustangs

The Grandview Greyhounds will challenge the Prosser Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Grandview and seven for Prosser.

Grandview fell victim to Othello and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 13-0 to the Huskies.

Grandview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Mendoza, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Mendoza's first of the season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Prosser and East Valley, and East Valley kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs came up short against the Red Devils on Saturday, falling 9-1.

Landon BaiLey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Prosser's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Grandview took their victory against Prosser when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Greyhounds repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
