Baseball Game Preview: Madison-Grant Argylls vs. Delta Eagles

The Madison-Grant Argylls will head out on the road to square off against the Delta Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison-Grant will be strutting in after a win while Delta will be coming in after a defeat.

Madison-Grant is headed out to face Delta after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Argylls put the hurt on Wes-Del with a sharp 10-0 victory on Monday.

Levi Nelson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Chad Lamb, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Madison-Grant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wes-Del only posted an OBP of .222.

Meanwhile, Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Mt. Vernon.

Everrett Linn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Madison-Grant couldn't quite get it done against Delta when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Argylls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
