Meanwhile, Calhoun scored first but ultimately less than Webster County in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 3-2. The Red Devils have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Chase Schoolcraft was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Wirt County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Calhoun, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
