Softball Recap: Green Hope Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Falcons on Thursday. Green Hope came up short against Jordan, falling 13-5. Green Hope was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jordan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Ainsley Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Claire Phelps was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Green Hope's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Jordan, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Green Hope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-2 loss against Middle Creek on the 14th. As for Jordan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-2 victory against Hillside on the 15th.
