While Classical's victory against Coventry wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Purple won by a set and slipped past the Oakers 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Purple in their matchups with the Oakers: they've now won three in a row.

Classical got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 24-26, 31-29, 24-26, 17-15.

Classical's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Coventry, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Classical has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Tolman on the 25th. As for Coventry, they will be playing at home against Barrington at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Oakers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
