Football Recap: Moore County Takes a Loss

Moore County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 28-7 to the Battle Creek Grizzlies.

Even if they lost, Moore County's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Kohlby Williams was especially locked on to Battle Creek's QB and sacked him twice.

Battle Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colten Barba, who threw for 210 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes. 115 of Barba's passing yards were hauled in by Stanley Williams Jr, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Moore County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Battle Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Moore County has already played their next game, a 35-19 defeat against Huntland on the 19th. As for Battle Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 41-20 loss against Creek Wood on the 19th.
