Football Recap: Mira Mesa Comes Up Short

Mira Mesa had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They took a 19-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bonita Vista Barons. The Marauders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Vyanna Ta threw for 72 yards and one touchdown.

As for Bonita Vista, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.9 points on average this season.

Mia Ramirez produced another solid effort throwing for 171 yards and a pair of TDs.

Coming up, Mira Mesa will square off against Francis Parker at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bonita Vista, they will take on Olympian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
