Recap: Walhalla Razorbacks vs. Daniel Lions
The Walhalla Razorbacks lost against the Daniel Lions back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Walhalla ended up on the wrong side of a tough 63-43 walloping at the hands of Daniel.
When it comes to explaining why Walhalla lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marnie Baxter. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points. The game was Baxter's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kami Roach, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Walhalla's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Daniel, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walhalla's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crescent at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. Crescent will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Walhalla is ranked 50th). As for Daniel, they will head out on the road to face off against West-Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully West-Oak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
