Basketball Game Preview: East Leopards vs. Olympus Titans

East is 2-8 against Olympus since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The East Leopards will be playing in front of their home fans against the Olympus Titans at 7:00 p.m. Olympus took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on East, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, East turned things around against Highland on Friday. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 45-25 win. The contest marked the Leopards' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Olympus suffered their closest defeat since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Alta by a score of 57-55. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East will have to contain Joss Baker as she made an impact in Olympus' last game. She almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Baker is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Tessa Cromar, who posted 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Olympus' loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for East, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-11.

East suffered a grim 64-38 defeat to Olympus in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can East avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
