Recap: Tree of Life Christian Trojans vs. Northside Christian Lions
The Tree of Life Christian Trojans fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Northside Christian Lions on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 61-50 to the Lions. Tree of Life Christian has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Tree of Life Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ronald Amoah, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Amoah has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Mason Sanders was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with ten rebounds.
Tree of Life Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Northside Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Tree of Life Christian will head out on the road to square off against Delaware Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against KIPP Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th.
