Volleyball Recap: Rock Springs Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory Against St. Mary's Academy

Rock Springs Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against the St. Mary's Academy Bobcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Rock Springs Christian Academy was led to victory by Lauren Harrell and Lucy Sowell. Harrell had six aces and three digs, while Sowell had seven aces and two assists. That's the most aces Harrell has posted since back in September of 2024.

St. Mary's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Rock Springs Christian Academy will face off against St. George's at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Mary's Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against LaGrange Academy on the 12th.
