Baseball Recap: Poca Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Capital, Poca was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Tolsia Rebels. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Dots considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Poca's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Jones, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. Austin Gillig was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

The victory got Poca back to even at 1-1. As for Tolsia, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Poca will welcome Keyser at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tolsia, they will face off against Van at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
