Basketball Recap: Flinthills Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Flinthills extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jacob Hunter. The Flinthills Mustangs came out on top against the Caldwell Bluejays by a score of 56-45 on Friday thanks in part to Hunter, who on his way to 26 points and six assists. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Flinthills' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Carney, who posted seven points and six rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Despite the loss, Caldwell still got an impressive performance from Ashton Mason, who to rack up 14 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Mason a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Mak Blosser, who had 12 points.

Flinthills' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Caldwell, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Flinthills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-63 defeat against South Haven on the 21st. As for Caldwell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 76-31 loss against Oxford on the 20th.
