Softball Recap: Center Point Takes a Loss

Center Point lost against Johnson City back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates came up short against the Eagles, falling 22-4. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maria Diaz was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Center Point's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Johnson City, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1-2.

Center Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson City, they will challenge San Saba at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
