Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Find Success

Roosevelt's tournament run continued when they took on Leuzinger on Saturday. The Rough Riders walked away with a 2-0 win over the Olympians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rough Riders.

Akeelah Percy paced Roosevelt's offense, picking up four kills. Percy got some help from Kaley Munoz and her ten assists. Munoz also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maetzin Enriquez, racking up three apiece.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Leuzinger, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Lincoln on the 23rd. As for Leuzinger, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against San Gabriel Mission on the 23rd.
