They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Wellington Eagles  2-1. The  win was nothing new for KIPP Denver Collegiate as they're now sitting on four straight.
 Jennifer Alvarado and  Zoe Haataja scored both of KIPP Denver Collegiate's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.
KIPP Denver Collegiate pushed their record up to 8-4 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one  goal over those three  contests. As for Wellington,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-12.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Denver Collegiate will head out to  challenge Kennedy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. KIPP Denver Collegiate will be up against Kennedy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.5  goals per  match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wellington, they will square off against Greeley Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Greeley Central's last three  games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
