Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Pecatonica Vikings, falling 3-0.

While Riverdale ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Macy McKay paced Riverdale's offense, picking up five kills. McKay got some help from Abby Tisdale and her six assists. Riley Kinney controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Pecatonica, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Riverdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Fennimore on the 9th. As for Pecatonica, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Barneveld on the 9th.
