Softball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

Southwestern fell victim to Clinton County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since April 19th.

With the loss, Southwestern broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-9. As for Clinton County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.

Southwestern will be playing at home against South Laurel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Clinton County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Glasgow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Scotties at the right time seeing as the Scotties are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
