Football Game Preview: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Ramona Bulldogs

Mt. Carmel is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will face off against the Ramona Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Carmel has given up an average of 33 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mt. Carmel managed to slip by Patrick Henry the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sundevils were beaten by the Patriots 48-16 on Friday.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Nate Donohue, who picked up 58 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 35 yards. Trevor Taumoepeau was another key player, having thrown for 270 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Ramona came up short against Scripps Ranch on Friday and fell 36-24. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ramona's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Mt. Carmel didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ramona when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 28-24 victory. Will the Sundevils repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
