Volleyball Recap: Faith Academy Starts Season with Win at Home

Faith Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Austin Waldorf Roadrunners. The Flames not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-16.

Ella Claiborne paced Faith Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Claiborne got some help from Ella Chavira and her eight assists. Claiborne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Academy is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Concordia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Austin Waldorf, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Valor North Austin at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
