The Pelicans fell just short of the Big Red by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that the Pelicans have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Trinity-Pawling School didn't have quite enough to beat Westminster School on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Ty Petras was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Trinity-Pawling School saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Leonard, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Loomis Chaffee School now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Trinity-Pawling School, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Loomis Chaffee School skirted past Trinity-Pawling School 9-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pelicans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
